The purpose of the NGAFL organization is - Foster the development of the sport of Australian Rules Football in the state of Georga and throughout the USA.

The NGAFL is a true non-profit organization, principles, executives and board members receive no compensation for services provided. (IRS 501c3 designation status is pending)

The NGAFL has been developed under the premise, far more local region games of Australian Rules Football will ensure the sport will continue to grow exponentially and be introduced to many more new people to experience, as well as provide many new players to USAFL teams in the local region. All without the need to travel or stay overnight.

In Rome especially the USAFL Club the Rome Redbacks that was formed in 2018, NGAFL games now provides a clear and concise player pathway for players to enjoy, if they so prefer that challenge. That pathway includes:

• AFLS Games - Free Social Modified Non-Tackle Rules of Australian Rules Football, that can be played by people of all ages every week.
• NGAFL Games - 9 v 9 region games on a slightly smaller scale than full matches, however nearly all AFL & USAFL rules are applied.
• USAFL Games - 14 a-side, to 18 a-side, USAFL sanctoned games by affilated USAFL clubs, culminating in Region & National Championships.
• USA National Team Games - International representative games by the men's USA Revolution and women's USA Freedom teams, played against teams from other countries.
  

Each of the game levels will have different levels of players. They will require different levels of commitment and time investment, and the impact on the players lives will be different accordingly. What is expected however, every single player will enjoy the thrill of playing one of the best team sports in the world today.
